La Troupe is an Anglo-French amateur dramatic group based in Montaigu de Quercy in the Tarn et Garonne.
The group was started in 2002 by two couples who had been in the same amdram group in England, and who got together with a few other interested people in the Montaigu area. It has now grown to a membership of around 60, but we are always delighted to welcome newcomers.
The first performance was a pantomime – a bilingual performance suggested as a way to integrate the French and English communities. This format has remained the cornerstone of the group’s various performances which include a range of classic and contemporary plays, through to interactive murder mysteries. There are also a number of social events solely for members, which include talent shows, script in hand plays and quiz nights. The emphasis is on fun!
